Ana Maria Botero

Ana Maria Botero is an artist, architect, mother, and wife whose creative journey bridges structure and spontaneity. Born in Bogotá, Colombia, she lived there until 2001, when life brought her to the United States. While her background is in architecture, her true passion now lies in art—a longtime hobby that has grown into a full-time pursuit.
Ana Maria works primarily in acrylics, a medium that allows her to explore vibrant color, texture, and composition. Her paintings lean toward the abstract and semi-abstract, focusing less on subject matter and more on the emotional and visual impact of color. She often incorporates a variety of materials to create rich, layered surfaces that invite closer inspection.
With every exhibition, her goal is to catch the eye, intrigue the mind, and capture the observer—offering a dynamic experience of color, movement, and expression.
