Amy Love

self portrait.JPG

Amy Love is a Colorado native originally from Boulder and a long-time resident of Evergreen. Her work is deeply inspired by the color, texture, and drama of the Rocky Mountains, where she has lived for more than thirty years. Working in mixed media, Amy creates both handmade art cards and larger framed pieces using a wide range of materials, including fabric, handmade paper, paint, metal, wood, natural elements, and encaustic wax.

Her practice began with small, one-of-a-kind art cards, each created entirely by hand. Over time, this evolved into larger mixed media landscape compositions that often incorporate batik fabrics and bold, vivid color to express the mountain environment. No two pieces are the same, and each reflects Amy’s joy in the process of making. Her work has been shown and collected in galleries and boutiques throughout Colorado for more than twenty years.
