Western Metamorphosis is the name Britt Ripley has given to his style of photography, a genre that allows him to intimately explore as well as juxtapose the animate and inanimate subjects related to his ranching family background. The imagery reveals Britt’s emotional connection with and deep appreciation for the beautiful and spirited ranch animals. While the animal portraits evoke something key to their essence, the layering of contextual architecture, weathered materials, and nature provides new perspectives that strive to be visually and mentally engaging.
